Geordie Greep - The New Sound

Conclusion, September 19th, aligned in a sense to Geordie Greep's "The Magician":

Spent a million light years wondering why I didn't know you yet, finally learnt of you, now we are here and true together, this is all I could never chalk it up to be, for it is unimaginably true and real in a way I could never manifest within my willing consciousness. Had a dream, a terrifying dream, a loving dream, an infinite dream, and then I had another dream I was playing Deus Ex again, and this time New York had never taken such a living breathing form again. My center is shifting. In paying for my future by resolving this form of inner-dwelling debt, I have to ask myself what this was all for again in the beginning. Considering in an immense sense that it was nothing I could not know. I could not howl. I was never aware of this, so one night in the woods I stared east in my hemisphere and kept longing for a goodbye, given that this was all I really knew how to do and was conditioned to know how to do, and now I'm being told that this missing was in bad shape unless I follow an exact life path for the future, and what's that all about? But, still, sitting in the middle of the dusk and hust and, and quieting upon myself, because there's nothing better in this life than, than, than...

endless nonsense rambling...

incredibly generic, unconscious, poised within my dwell in robot-years and my fascination with Earwickers wake...

... and a result of being afraid.

...

...

...

...

...

...

...

I'm hiding from living

I'm hiding from breathing

I'm hiding from everything!

Your convulsions have cracked the dust of the earth

Your pantomime moans, so rehearsed

You'll never turn your head again

Just like me, you're alive, you're dead, you're dead

...

In this nondescript forest in which I know nothing

I clutch my little knave and I awake from the dream

Like the stars, happily married, who still lie alone

Like the world famous actor, still completely unknown

Like the driving black forest, of you I know nothing

I know none of you, your skin, your sin, your stench, your things

I know none of your sense of shame,

I know only your name.

...

Forgotten the ways, forgotten the ways, forgotten the ways, forgotten the ways, mistreated and abused and maladapted in my tatetí game as though I were new and nothing, and still, all that gets me away now is the raving new noon of the future, still with a light and shade of the old moon, because that is an unescapable core of myself, and OH, this rondo really IS, isn't it? Pivoting in the triangle-unhex again and new; the other day I walked thru the smoke before it cleared and although I wish it were raining, the sky was clear as could be (funny how that works) and the moon was shining duly parted upon my lips in a half-lit half-hiding matter, but it was aerly[sic] enough that I could still see its quiet coward puckerlipper part; now in my bed I know that it must be true, that the moon is in some part non-rock, in some part living and returning to us, in some part controller of destiny, and in some part I know that all this is a reflection and mirror of what is and couldn't be and what will be and the future is hiding SOMETHING for all us all, what? What? What? When? When? When?!?

Sometime August 19th, following a long day of inner bonding. For a while, I felt completely immersed in the work and was drawing it without saying a word, and then I looked over you and I felt as though I had been a bad person and kind of collapsed afterward:

I have done a new digital piece for enjoyment of my blog viewers, which there seem to be a lot more of nowadays (not sure how that works, really). It is called 'An experiment in towers "how I'm feeling" (attempt.)' or something like that (as an update: yes, it is called this). I hope I don't forget to update this. I am on my computer and I drew this on my laptop, so I can't reference the title right now. We drew lots of other stupid things together today, but again, I did this one all silent and serious. I've never really gotten like that.

 [redacted for the time being]

Written about a month later, but I realized I wrote "blog viewers," which goes to speak of my thoughts on these things. I don't believe you're reading in to what I'm saying, but I don't doubt that you're spectating my work. This has always happened. It is okay.

Sometime August 20th, following a long day of reverse engineering a deceptively broken Flash game which has received lots of love (but not as much as it should):

Technology is beautiful. It is beautiful I can talk to you in an instant and hear back from you in just another. It is weird and strange I take this for granted. I am listening to a song that was recorded in a farm in Chapel Hill, South Carolina (going through this old thing again, to keep this entry up-to-date and whatnot, realized I don't know where the C'est la key farm is. I don't believe I need to know this information, but the lack of it has made this paragraph all the less true), at some point between late 2016 and 2017. The window, pt. 2 is a song I am slowly beginning to unlearn. Ironically I have only recently tried my hand at learning it on guitar, but these words have stopped feeling so true and right. This we have is making me lose my fear, this we have is making me stop being afraid. It feels as though I were stepping out of the white mist. There was a lot of white mist this morning, but I am talking about a more general form of white mist. I read a bit of Hobbes today, and I remember when this was all going over my head because I couldn't wrap my head around its abstract confine. Good times. In some form I am lesser than I have ever been (and this will continue to be true forever), and in a million other ways I am slowly becoming everything I have never been, I am slowly amassing a complete fulfillment of myself, and I owe this to you.

"I'm afraid," but "I'll be brave."

I think that's my new sentiment. I think this is where the future's ought to take me.

Sometime August 21st, following the previous two:

It's been a week since the last update. I guess maybe it's a bit impossible to abandon these things. I liked writing every day, even if it wasn't much most of the time. I guess I did this again (19-21) but I won't count it this time. I won't count it again. It's okay. It doesn't have to be anything special. I wonder how many more of these updates I'll write out though!

Sometime August 22nd, following an early wake:

"I'LL SEE YOU AGAIN UP IN THE PLEIADES."; 2017 faux-genderbyck live. Realized in conjunction as "Atticstar Color Drain," performs six songs extended into the night for an audience. Recorded and pressed to seven rw discs. A miracle for those who still seek low-fidelity.

All who still have this get in touch with me, I'm trying to live again.

$$

I think everyone's still hoping for some sort of cultural regression, and it's never going to happen. Not because anything special is going on (admittedly, there are a lot of special things going on which would prohibit this also, but the point I'm making is that these are not relevant), but because the world marches on regardless of its individuals! The sun has a job to cover, the earth is rotating places, they are all ensuring time is a constant moving forward, and so we adapt this. It is fun to dream of the past and imagine our lives as though they can still take place in the past, but this can't happen anymore. Not now. Not here. Not again. Me writing through Blogspot is the icing on the cake here, what do I know about abandoning the past?

Oh well.

To love is to let go. I don't think I'm there yet.

Sometime August 24th, following a midday strung on by through continuous listening of "Black Country" by Tonstartssbandht:

I've lived a long time. I don't think I'm particularly conscious or anything (I liked pretending I was when I was younger) but I've been here for a good chunk of time and ultimately I'm still alive, there's joy to take from this as much as I haven't seen it. I think it is all coming to me, "escaping the veil" or whatever. This song's treating me nicely. I feel good. I want to be alive.

Sometime August 27th, following a rainy day's clearing:

"Blue the dreamways"
"Brown the dreamways"

From what I gather the rainbow's colors were split so to make 7 colors, same as the diatonic (or heptatonic or whatever you wanna call it) scale! Weird stuff. I almost don't believe it.

I hope the sky fully clears out soon, and this rain and cold stops hailing down on us. It's been too long! It's been too long.

Wouldn't you know it. Beautiful and golden now.

Sometime September 1st, following a beautiful sunny week's worth:

Humpers _1.

Sometime September 4th, following a stark realization:

I am really just keeping this blogpost hostage. I wanted it to come out on the 27th, but I had the idea for "Humpers." for a couple weeks by that point so I held off for the fear of making a third update post, because wouldn't that be horrifying? I also never got around to attaching the digital piece I did on the 19th, which delayed it further. Here I sit September 4th awaiting the impending day I get enough inspiration for 40 minutes of through-composed plunderphonics in the form of "Humpers." ... the demo from the 1st was only 10 minutes long, and I felt like I was pushing myself already.

When it comes to my songs, I seem to fall into a bit of a trap. They are generally in two ranges; 3-5 minutes or 9-17 minutes. Sometimes shorter, never longer. I have maybe seven songs that are 17 minutes each, and I don't know why. It's not even a number I like! I did actually release a 20 minute song one time, but it was a mesh of a 6 minute song, an 8 minute song, and maybe another 8 minute song (don't do the math, there were some elements of those songs cut out), so I don't think it really counts. With "Humpers." I am trying to do an actual full 40 minutes, maybe with an underlying sample at the base (which I guess goes a bit against that idea of through-production) or something, who knows. It's been a struggle.

I realized I don't particularly write much about reality, as I am doing here. Welcome. I spent most of the day programming for a mod of a Flash game, you can see here some of the output of that:

[redacted for the time being]

Nothing terrifyingly interesting, I apologize. I remember when I was younger we had small, kind of nowhere-heading (bless the ways of "no child left behind" and etc.) robotics classes with Arduino and the like. I wasn't bad! I would say I was always good at understanding code and being able to engage in pseudo-code, but I found robotics mindnumbing regardless of this because I did not care for... robots. When I gave due to trying out game modding I immediately fell in love. I like the idea of reverse engineering, of course, who doesn't?, but actually trying it out for yourself and getting to experience some form of amazement over the dogshit code you're looking at is truly an out of this world feeling/experience/etceteralia. Hard to describe. Recommend. I enjoy it.

Also, damn, I used to write this blogpost's worth in a couple hours. Where has my writing voice gone?

"My singing voice is gone," I remember when I had this other website of mine up somewhere (it still is, but I don't like thinking about it) and I tried to do a little blog there. I think I kept it up for a few days before caving in. At least here I lasted a month and change, and I could've gone longer but I felt as though I was being disrespectful by that point. I wonder what would've come out of it if I kept going. I see I have some... forgive me, motion... every time I open my blog (the views tickers go up for some reason? Why? There's nothing new here? At least not yet...) so I guess that would've snowballed into something bigger if I let it grow and grow, but... who cares for this? Speaking of;

Was thinking about the ban again. I think I'll always be thinking about it somewhere in the back of my mind. Me and my dear friend Kona have both grown disillusioned with the site, and I still haven't figured out where writing is supposed to live in the internet now. I wrote a lot about "life after the end of death" (a lot of it now deleted, sigh...) but what about "life after the end of free publication?" Is this even something worth being published? Maybe this should rot on my computer forever, and one day in some amount of years, when my friends finally figure out my passwords, they can read it again and think about all I wasn't cracked up to be. What will be then? But I digress; This is a new life, this is a new world, some new book is starting sometime soon and I am none the wiser. This is curious, this is scary, this is exciting. I am admittedly glad to be living in this moment, as much as it doesn't sound like it at times.

What do you think?

Saw a bit where I said "I won't count these again, not again, not again" and like, I'm not counting them or anything, but I wonder how long I'll keep this up for. When I read that part again I didn't recognize whoever wrote it, so, maybe if it takes me long enough I'll be able to read this I'm writing right now with new eyes, and new skin, and a new and endarkened body, if things go right. How scary it is to be in the future, and still be encroaching on this new inexplicable future of mine. I wonder how long it'll take me for me to forget why I was afraid of the future!

See? That's modernist writing. We are currently at a point in time where the center has not fallen, where it has not collapsed. I am awaiting an impending collapse based on my premonition and knowledge of the post-modernist, but this lack of collapse in reality has made the situation much different. Maybe I'll get killed in a templicyrcomplicit (multi-modus word-bo...(...s) to allude: To) center of my own.

Hey. It's not even 12:40 yet. I guess I did write a good amount. Worry feeds (ways beckoning/becoming worryfeeds? To expand on) like wormers and receivers.

Sometime September 8th in the earliest morning hours, following a failed operating system installation, because the past never stops catching up with us... now listening to Oh, perispomenon! because at least that serves as a retreat against the future:

I guess I kind of put it all out on the title. It's been a rough couple days, my head is stretching deep into my stomach. I guess my dear's head is doing that, actually, but mine is mentally following suit. Sometimes I want to be a real deer, and trod the prairie

Sometime September's end, following a great clock's work involving the painting of a missing mural to represent stolen culture of Mexican muralists we have not lived nor attempted to understand, then the great inbound, a relapse of The Autoandrogonyans, then the real nothingness of the hollow moment when I called, then a week of things middlingly if not annoyingly left unspoken, wrapped up in outerpersonal conflict:

I wish there was a real song here I could link, but it does not exist at this time. Since I know its name, I can deduce its link, so I will leave it here for an eternity until I have figured these things out. It is called Humpers., it is a self-titled album ostensibly about "Humpers.", and also about "the things that bind "us" as we understand it." As of the 15th, I have a 10 minute demo of this one-song album (Humpers. - Humpers. - Humpers.) but I have allotted 46 minutes to my SoundCloud to finish this pursuit, so I am not planning to stop until it's closer to that. And then I will be done. My friend said he hopes that when his album is done, he can go back to being a normal person and get into all the things he's put off, and right now I kind of feel like that. But it's okay. It's alright. It'll all be better sometime this year.

$$

Am I just dreaming?

$$

Regarding the title, Fermín Revueltas was a great painter and none of us could ever be like him. (Not regarding the title: John Martin was a great painter and none of us could ever be like him.)

Regarding the title, "do you remember being born?" I remember hearing this song alone alone alone alone alone alone alone... (something tells me I'm misremembering) ...alone alone alone, down on an empty stomach and out of my stringsfold ("The Autoandrophile's Lament" by Lex Walton), and only now have I taken to crying to it.

Regarding the title, nothing is new, nothing is old.

Update 1

Well... the blog being wound down doesn't mean I won't write here anymore. I forgot to attach "Everyone deserves better." to the New End blog post. I have done that now. You can go look. It has been set free-ish and wild-ish. I miss when I played Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 4, and my biggest hurdle in the world was that I could not clear Bob Burnquist's Pro Challenge. New End

This is the end! Quite tragic.

I want to make an album again. I want to write a book or two. I have an idea for a book called "Livonia." I've never lived there but I think there's merit in this. I have an idea for a game about ghosts and stars and the like, but I don't want to talk about that. This blog will be wound down. Put down the ways like a hurt little dog, cramped, crowned a new experiment important for this short life. It's okay. It was good. It's been done.

What originally brought me to writing the now-forever-inaccessible review for "Diskclosure" was reading an old autobiography for Coin locker kid, where it described a religious nativity scene, "suckled at Her bosom" and what-not. I found myself thinking of how to take this further, which led me to write about a metaphorical newspaper called "H./H. Pleiades" and whatever more, using RateYourMusic and its special formatting as a vehicle for this. I concluded the review by linking to a YouTube video called "Everyone deserves better."

By the time I had the review finished, the video was nowhere there, so I just sent it to link to YouTube's homepage instead. Nowadays I have found myself in no need or want to finish this video, so I have left it attached here. The video is not up to the standard I was trying to reach: The vocals are terribly mixed, I didn't add subtitles, and the song is nothing special, but I was encouraged to post it regardless because who else has done this? Ultimately what compelled me to keep working as elephas was this, who's been here before? RYM has had its giant and beautiful share of romanticist writers, dead and alive, gone and active, but who's sat with the site to push its boundaries like this?

I don't know, and nobody can know now, for I have been banned off it.

My favorite blog posts on this wretched site, which will most likely be shut down by Google before anybody can care about the existence of these:
His Name Is Alive - 1985-1989 Stuff, Early Works - The last "elephas", word art. Originally about the Boston Massacre but God knows I don't know enough to do that justice.

the Microphones - The Glow, Pt. 2 - For years I thought I didn't have much to say about this album but every thought I ever had (within the timespan of one day) all coalesced to give me this. I am still scared. Akin to my old reviews for The Ghost~Pop Tape, this is a compilation of recent time tragedy with new and old people.

07_22_26 - Confessionary

Me oh myriorama - Iris - Word art, the first and last to use this new field to its fullest extent. I am still happy here, I wish I could write like this for days and days. If you liked this I'd implore you to read "Bottom's Dream" by Arno Schmidt instead.

07_02_26 - God knows what I was talking about here.

Where I am on the internet:
Not anywhere, really. I've been making music under "Wherever the winterwind goes" on SoundCloud, because isn't it fun to pretend for a while? My old Twitter is asking me to "scan a QR code" from my phone to keep using it, and I don't feel like doing that, so I guess it'll never go anywhere. My RYM is long dead. I have a YouTube account where I mostly reupload music.

This is the end! Quite tragic. Maybe I'll be married in the future.

This one time I was participating in a model UN (which is a sickly gross geopolitical kiddie-nightmare and I advise all younger than me never to engage) hosted at a religious school, and through the cloudy morning hours I snuck some time away from the loudness of a hundred fake delegations to their sanctuary. It was dimly lit and I could feel it rejecting me, but the rapture hasn't come for anybody yet so I guess I get to live if not for a little while longer. When I was young I found it real tragic that one should place a portion of their entire being into stressing over "a great misfortune soon to come," and nowadays I've found my own thinking overridden with this thought. Down somewhere, we are all the same.

Remo o o ve me... ♥♡♥♡♥♡

                                                singing like my mother...

how strange it is to be
here after all of that. How strange
it is to be here after all of that. Sometimes
in the middle of the night I get up, and I don't
really go anywhere. I stare longingly at the ceiling. To calm
myself (not that I'm agitated or anything, just to soothe myself back down)
I usually sing La clara fuente in a high-pitch. I warble my voice like my mother did,
although this song doesn't really call for that. "I loved you my whole life,
and I'll never forget you" is how that song goes for a while. It's very
beautiful and I think it knows more than I do.
not that I can say I know anything, really. But...
sometimes with music I can feel as though the
artist has some developed omniscience that they're practicing
through the music I'm hearing. I feel that a lot whenever
I hear something by Warn Defever. He started this
in a little place called "Livonia" in Michigan.
when you look that up you get an old
                                                            region in Latvia and Estonia.
I wonder if it's mountainous over there.
                                                                           In the Michigan one...
                                                                           well, I also don't know.
                                                                           It's all strange.
                                                                           It's all weird.
Today I found myself trying to

08_05_26 (Les Rallizes Dénudés - 1980/12/13 屋根裏)

Because by this point, they're so tired that Fujio can't afford himself to play the majestic Deeper Than The Night solo I've come to love him for, with all the strength and downpour of the world all that's plucked out of his heavenly guitar is some faint whimpers by the start instead. Mizutani is still striving, but when wasn't he?

A few minutes later, of course, this is all contradicted by Fujio playing the song I've come to call his, but it's missing the strength of the November 7th show. Who can blame them? Who can blame anyone in this weather?

08_04_26 (the Microphones - The Glow, Pt. 2)

To answer or explain all below: Living this way is a form of sheltered negligence and desperate unsuccessful chasing of bliss.

$$ 1

We were young bodyvoids under the shine of the moon. I had fantasized of that moment for my whole life up to that point. I remember my father one time told me something about stars, and now there I was sitting beside one. In the cold embrace of minorities we found eachother, and within it we built a pillow fort we nicknamed "Castle In Coloria". It was great and majestic, it was hundreds of pillows tall, nobody could enter but us. We were great. You asked me if I had ever done a playfight in the past, and I didn't know what that was. We were great, we were none the wiser, we were both young and unknown. We were young bodyvoids under the shine of the moon...

$$ 2

Listening to The Moon wondering what will be of this. I had lots of weird thoughts yesterday and I was none the wiser towards what gave me my own hypothetical visions of Sonia Moria, but I know one of these days I'll be passing by your home just like I passed by my old highschool last decade, and that home will no longer be either of ours, we will not be anything anymore, and I'm scared for what this will really mean. Is this nothing?

I passed by the home in the early morning hours today. Didn't take a picture, didn't make a comment. I think the people by the nearby bus stops have started getting accustomed to this odd new uncertainty lingering by the neighborhood. All the lights in the stories above were off, but the streetlights were on so as to guide my cold weary soul. I hope I don't have to forget this. I hope I don't have to forget anything.

$$ 1

...and now I look west.

In the abandonment I had to engage with a few weeks ago I remember you committing yourself so much deeper to it than I expected. In the past you asked me to playfight, and this led to me crying and being kind of inconsolable for a little while, but when time came for a real argument you kind of up and left before I could say much more to explain myself. You said I'd know where to find you, but I haven't kept up with you on social media in a couple years now, so... not really, not anymore. We are separate and we will never reunite, and that is for the best, but I still miss you from time to time. We did not understand eachother and very often I found you completely opposed to my being, but from time to time there was this scarce comfort in our derived color addition.

$$ 3

This guy I don't really talk to contracted tuberculosis which is a real tragedy as far as I'm aware.

$$ 2

Do you actually want me to let you into my life? I wish you read these. I'm thankful you don't.

$$ 1

I remember this guy I was alluding to earlier was in constant up and arms because I could not bear myself to open up and "be" in the same sense he was. This was okay, by this time I was young and nothing and in constant lies so I obviously could not keep from piling on to my rolling snowball... but now that I don't live this anymore, now that we have parted ways and our boats will never touch or sink eachother's again, I wonder, will I be open? Is it okay to open oneself? Should I stay nothing forever? The other day I wrote "bodyvoids" as a remastered alludance to a poem from a few years ago (about a different guy) and I guess that's an accurate description for what's happening nowadays.

$$ 4

All those years ago when I described myself so thoroughly as a ghost, only tethered to this earth by social connections, about to float away at a moment's notice, transparent in "multiple ways" and layers, I never expected myself to stop understanding this vision. Obviously I still find some connection in all I said, in all I understand myself not to be and in the little I am, but there is a body here, light does not really pass through all of me, and I've kept myself busy for too long to let go anymore. Something beyond me would need to happen for me to leave now.

$$ 5

Tonight I walked by the franchised icecream place that used to be a (smaller) franchised coffee shop. We went there one time, it was nice. I think at that point in time I was too young, so I got an orange juice with a toasted sandwich. I remember thinking I would take all my friends to that place in the future, since it was real cozy and quiet and, more importantly, "cheap" by my judgement of never holding more than a coin in my hand. The economy plummeted and the place sunk, of course, so this never happened.

$$ 6

    Let yourself stop being afraid.
There haven't been many times in life I've let things go.
When I was young, my mother contracted a terminal form of mammary cancer that took her by the time I turned twelve. I remember by the time I was moving onto highschool she had to ask around for a wheelchair so she could come see me graduate, and in the end she didn't even get to come, for doctors forbade her from visiting the outside world. Sometimes she would come back home for a few weeks, and then back to the hospital for a few more months. I remember after one time we visited, we got a pizza near the hospital and ate it at home, thinking about her. On the day she died my father took me to our roof, and he pointed me to the stars. He asked me if I knew what was up with them. I was quite clueless, but a few years prior, in some corner of the internet, I had seen that all the stars up above us are dead by the time we see them, so I told him if he was referring to that. He didn't confirm this, he just said my mom was up there now. I cried, and cried, and cried, and cried... I did not get a wink of sleep for a few days. Just a few months prior she was at home, coughing through the night, in absolute agony, but, homewith us, and we were talking about what we were going to do for my birthday in April of next year, and for hers in November, and Christmas and winter break and my first year of highschool... but I was none the wiser, of course. It took me years until after she died to even learn what got her. Nowadays I look at the stars fondly, as fondly as I look at ghosts and the like, and I find some shelter and company in all there. It's nice. It's nice knowing I'll be up there soon.
She's gone up straying past the moon, she's gone up to take place in the Pleiades, and I know she's saved a spot for me.

$$ 7

I'm being a weird form of nothing today. Not sure what to make of any of this. I hope by tomorrow I'm washed up again, and I can't write more than a few sentences to save my life, and this blog dies and rots away begotten with the ways which took me.

...it's named "the ways." after the C'est la key song of the same name, you know. I've come to give it new imagined meaning just like with many other beauties of the universe, which in a way I think is artistic and enlightening and charitable. Philanthropic? Something beyond me. Again, again.

$$ 8

I just can't believe any of this.

Straying from my conventions and listening to contemporary complacency music (To Here Knows When) ... whatever I wrote about the new millennium on Y2J, where you'll open your floor-to-ceiling highrise window to a beautiful pixelart orange-blue New York scene... this music suits that too. This is beautiful. This isn't here, this isn't now, and that's okay. Letting go is okay.

Weird thoughts today. I daydreamt of an oriental scene sometime pre-industrialization, when I should've been busy thinking of what was in front of me. Time seemed to not exist today.

08_02_26 (Cities Aviv - Black Pleasure)

"Had a weird dream about a guy who I prohibited myself from talking to. Maybe I should tell him."

$$

I tried finding a version of White Awakening with the bassline I was alluding to yesterday, but I couldn't particularly find any version by just skimming them. Sorry. Maybe in the future it'll come to me.

$$

Told the guy. He didn't really care. I miss when we talked often, and I miss when we were actually friends. We have lost all of this and are now nothing at all. Bodyvoids chasing.

$$

Listening to Not That I'm Anywhere real loud. I plugged my headphones into a different jack on my computer and now they have all this bass that I thought they were lacking. It's weird. It sounds kind of bad actually, but I guess I'll get used to this. I find myself drowning in the new. I have lots of memories affiliated to music, I remember my favorite dinner ever was had whilst I listened to this one Joey Bada$$ mixtape for the first time (God... isn't he so bad nowadays?), I remember every time I introduced a friend to The Ghost~Pop Tape, but with some songs it feels like they make me invent memories instead. With Cities Aviv I can recall going through a labyrinth in Fractal Block World (1. What font should a game constitute? 2. You should check that game out, you know...) whilst listening to Man Plays The Horn, but I don't have any real memories with Black Pleasure. It exists in a void. In this void, in this empty pit, I am now imagining endlessly:

Sickly story of (Helvetica) Heaven/Hell Times in remembrance for the future. I lived a long and beautiful life as a chronicled storywriter newsmaker in H./H. Pleiades. It was a famous publication read by stars all throughout, from Alcyon to the hypothetical Zyzzyxes. All loved me. All took care of me. One time, when I was interviewing a young root star by the orchard of north-eastern Pleaides, I found myself not having enough to sleep comfortably anywhere. I found myself quite desperate at this time so I told a few stars, and whilst almost all just wished well fortunes on me, one gave me a place to live. We ended up becoming something much deeper and whilst now I can't find it in me to describe it, we would be nothing without that time. This star told me of a time, still humane, when it went out into the field and played with a young spry dog, both chasing sticks throughout a not-yet-burning sun's allowance. In recent time, as this star collapsed, I found myself trying to blame someone, but I couldn't find much because at the end of the day time was all that happened here. We whispered to eachother how much love was shared, in numbers and graphs, in maps and routes, all this work that went into our shared life, and that was the last of it. She left. I am now leaving as well, much lonelier. I find myself seeking to recall all this to know that at one point in time I was not alone. When I'm published in an obituary sometime soon, stars all throughout will surely spend some moments in their head wishing me well, just like they did before, but right now I am not in company at all. This is a strange position to be in. This is all strange, and although it is not new, I never thought it would come so quickly.

Harkening back to my hypothetical days of Deuce Komradz;

1. Enjoying my best ever April by getting drunk as could be and listening to every DJ Screw tape ever... chapters of the originator ingrained into my head far stronger than any gospel ever could. Still listen to Push, Rollerskates & High With The Blanksta... that June 27th freestyle is iconic too if you haven't heard it. The Wineberry Over Gold Freestyle (13 min. one, wait I forgot it has a real title) aka "I Put It Down" (title from "June 27" compilation) also has one of the best beats I've ever heard. I dunno. Love it.

2. Near vomiting in a bus in the dead of night, broke, not alone but not exactly in company either. Only thing keeping me going being Chuchu Rocket. My guardian angel.

1. She's programming now. Scary.

2. I don't know my favorite song anymore! I used to confidently say it was Call Me Maybe (the Devon Hendryx cover), but in recent time Oh, perispomenon! has become a kind of philosophical work of the devil which I've made out to guide me the same way Call Me Maybe did in the past. I'm also listening to White Awakening by Les Rallizes Dénudés right now, and going, "woah... maybe this one's my favorite, actually," and this version doesn't even have the second bassline I've come to love so much!

What is the most you've ever payed for a book? I've seen things. Today I walked into a non-local bookstore (shame on me) foolishly looking for books my kind and majestically tucked at the bottom of a very large bookshelf I spotted some by Joyce.

Ulysses for $85.

I recall a few months ago I wrote of finding a CD I wanted for $50 (when everything around it was at most $15) and I walked away pretty defeated from that experience. This Ulysses thing was ironically less than 100ft away from where I found that CD.

In some other light, translation is the work of devils and should not be taken seriously. Sorry, let me try again. TRANSLATION IS THE WORK OF DEVILS AND IF YOU TRANSLATE FINNEGANS WAKE TO REMOVE ITS MYSTICITY THEN YOU HAVE FAILED IT, AND YOU HAVE FAILED ME AND MOST IMPORTANTLY YOU HAVE FAILED YOURSELF. That's more accurate.

Whatever's happening.

$$

Okay, I guess I should write a bit too.

I was almost crushed by a dead machine today, it was weird and the whole thing weighed multiple times more than my physical and emotional weight, so in a way it made sense that could happen. I remember there was this interview with Thom Yorke where he says that cars scare him and he's almost died in one, and you look at the lyrics for Airbag and it's all like, oh, you should be grateful you're alive every time you get out of a car, and in a similar way you should be grateful you're alive every time you handle heavy-duty mechanics. Or anything with current going through it. It's no joke! A cathode ray tube television could kill you. One time I was dealing with a wire and I thought I had the power off, but I didn't, and when I touched the exposed copper tip I was almost completely paralyzed for like 30 seconds! It took a lot to turn the power off. These things are magnitudes greater than us.

Yesterday I had a good time.

I've been playing Anti-Idle: Reforged lately. I don't feel like giving more context at this moment in time, maybe another day I'll introduce all none of you readers to it.

07_27_26

It's weird to think that when I was younger there was an infinity of games I missed out on because I only had a computer. I love Tony Hawk's Pro Skater, this is true and a constant to my existence, but a part of me wonders what would've happened if I ever were able to play the Skate games. Maybe their bleak color grading would've pulled me in? Maybe the complexity would've drawn me away? Who's to say! I still can't answer this because I've never played them.

$$

Nostalgia is a murder weapon.

$$

I used to like naming my songs "Like / This" or "Like (This)" (that one still works though) but in recent time I have begun attempting to name an entire song, even with multiple parts, as one thing. This also pertains to my approach to multipart songs nowadays, in the past they were wildly different and not particularly connected so this difference made sense, but nowadays I am much more capable of weaving them together or having a continuous element throughout everything that justifies a single collective name. I have also forever been fascinated by Travis Scott's Rodeo, where multipart songs aren't obvious from grasping at their name, you have to hear them to understand (and even then it might just fly over you...) that they're multiple parts. Why he seemingly abandoned this after Rodeo is beyond me, though. I think in Astroworld there is a small return to this? If my memory doesn't fail me, Sicko Mode and Stop Trying To Be God are both multiple parts, but I haven't heard that one in forever because I don't care for it.

07_26_26

A few months ago I was trying to write something for Goodnight Hypnopomp, I think it was a metafaux(phy)sical quote of a girl who I've never lived through, warning others like her to not fall down her same path. Right now I find myself falling down the path I was actively warning about. This is strange, this is confusing, I don't particularly know what to make of it.

$$

The other day I wrote of abandoning that one person by alluding to Untitled by July, "we were standing a thousand miles away / separated by an ocean" and whatnot. Not how the song goes, not how the song will ever go, not how their lost demo tape has ever gone, not how anything will ever treat us, and in Versailles I'll rot again.

$$

Epic collage is a fake music genre and I don't wanna hear anything about it. That's descriptors of the music at most. At most. At most. At most.

$$

I love you, and I don't know what to make of it now. I have returned to Oh, perispomenon! for I don't know what to make of this without it.

How does anyone know that what they make is special? What do they see in it?

Usually this is difficult to answer, and even if you are that person, even if you see that special thing, you can't put it into words because it's an otherworldly visceral feeling of certainty that what you make has a place in the material/immaterial domain. Right now, I don't know that what I make is special enough to put it out there. That's why I'm putting it out there regardless. For years I have sheltered everything I ever made so it wouldn't see the light of the world, and I'm sure my songs and voice appreciate that deeply, but subconsciously we all know that this has hurt us in the long haul. Right now I am trying to change that. Don't expect anything interesting.

$$

I would not like to make another album for now. Maybe if there's some stability in my life down the road this could be explored, but as it stands the few ideas I have for albums are unreachable and I do not find myself in the position to start building a ladder towards them. This also goes for "the game" which I will acknowledge here just so in the future I don't think I was making it up.

You're right, I'm sorry for getting rid of you," whilst the dagger and knife and all-else Glaive-Guisarmes of its ways impale us.

26-27. Leviathan interpretation
Unbeckoned reality's wrath as the newbound material.

$$

I am a weird foreign stranger to real talk. All I can bear to understand these days is the dialogue from the boy and lady in Oh, perispomenon!. All I really know nowadays is this Coin locker lens I constructed. I brought this onto myself. Regardless: It is ostensibly a weird point beyond reality where this inexperienced boy, and this older, wiser, further consumed lady, discuss their life and relation as it stood. I think this place in perspective is reminding me of the present as it stands. It is kind of similar to The absence of soil, air, and law., mostly by the end where the lady once again crumbles her veil and from it is revealed Devyn utilizing her to express something (boredom in absence, cassettes in perispomenon) "real."

In recent time I had to cut ties and burn away the rope from which I stood in some material form, from a due-lap of excess stress (typing all this is making me think of Duchamp, I'm not sure why although I'd appreciate his input at a time like this... Sélavy, save me...) all caused because I am too foolish, and new to this, and, above all, afraid. For a while I thought about giving in to this life I was being offered (described in some form on "- Traumagenic") but that must've been a year or two ago by now. It has all really been a lot, none of it feels particularly real, and neither of us have become better by the abandon and wreck of this ending. Similarly: In Memory of a boy (who doesn't exist.), the boy, who the lady can't find (as he has disappeared into her by this point in the album) speaks out to her, to give her his last bit of advice: "I will not return, but still you'll keep your head up. Everybody learns, the end is the end."

Even if the boy could magically come back as he seems to do in Empathica, this would not matter, for the boy would not be the same boy, the lady would not be the same lady, and the river in which his mom should be buried is not the same river (for it has seen a thousand new clouds and a thousand new fishes). It is understandably difficult to accept a farewell, it is understandably difficult to accept a disappearance. I have disappeared in the past, it was not an easy task and it hurt me deeply, as I'm sure it hurt my friends also, but these things happen for a reason...

$$

I remember when this was a normal blog, and I got to talk about Super Mario 64 and whatever album I was listening to at the time. Today someone tried introducing me to Leaving Xilent Trodden as though I did not know about it, and admittedly I did not connect the dots that "brone" and "brony" are two different things, but by the end we made amends and figured this way of life.
